Casserly House welcomed many different visitors in March. Jennifer Hawes of the Boston Public Library’s Roslindale Branch offered adult learnes in our ESOL program an engaging presentation on the different resources offered at the library. Over 15 learners received Boston library cards for the first time! The Boston Planning and Development Agency also sent staff to present on the Squares + Streets rezoning process to our learners, and interpretation was offered in Spanish and Haitian Creole.

Enrique Pepén, the new city councilor for Roslindale and other neighborhoods in District 5, met with Casserly House staff to discuss ways to collaborate together. We also welcomed the executive director of First Literacy, Terry Witherell, to discuss the implementation of a grant we received from that nonprofit organization.
