Donna Stiglmeier, Director of Casserly House
Casserly House collaborates with ABCD Boston and the Boston Public Library in Roslindale — other local English classes for speakers of other languages. Each year in May, the collaborative group recognizes all adult learners of English and gives awards to select adult learners (this year, seven) and volunteers (this year, two).
Casserly House honored: Najla LaCombe from Haiti for her hard work learning English and connection with other classmates; and Dan Colombo from Roslindale, a first-generation immigrant, for his dedicated volunteer commitment as an instructor. The stories were powerful and a good time was had by all!
