Boston Mayor Marty Walsh Visits Casserly House

Mayor Marty Walsh visited to learn more about what we do at Casserly House and to meet our adult students and neighbors and listen to their immigrant stories.  He assured them that the Boston City Council and he as mayor passed the Boston Trust Act which helps protect immigrants. He assured them that he supports comprehensive immigration reform and that he also supports adding much-needed kindergarten seats and the $15 per hour minimum wage initiative. The mayor thanked Casserly House for its efforts supporting immigrants, and assured us that we could count on his support.
