A Great Start to Our ESOL Classes
Our new ESOL year is off to a wonderful start! On September 9, Casserly House welcomed both returning and new volunteers for our Volunteer Orientation. In a warm and collaborative atmosphere, volunteers shared teaching experiences, explored who our adult English learners are, and discussed effective strategies for building confidence and communication in the classroom. Everyone left feeling prepared and excited to begin teaching.
The following week, our learners were just as happy to return, with many sharing that they had missed their classes and teachers. Newly registered students felt welcomed, enjoyed their first English class with their volunteer instructors, and were excited to come back the following week. Registration is ongoing, and we are always happy to welcome more adult learners to Casserly House.
