A First Red Sox Game to Remember

Two of our adult learners—one joined by his family—capture a selfie during their first-ever Red Sox game at Fenway Park.

On July 22, Casserly House received 12 free tickets for our families and adult learners to attend a Boston Red Sox-Baltimore Orioles game. For many, it was their very first baseball game, making the experience even more special.

The excitement began as soon as the tickets were shared. Even though some arrived with their families and others came on their own, the Casserly House ticketholders were all seated together, creating a wonderful sense of community as they cheered for the Red Sox side by side.

One of our adult learners was so excited about the experience that he proudly wore a new Red Sox T-shirt! Throughout the evening, our ticketholders sent us photos and videos capturing their smiles, excitement, and unforgettable memories.  They messaged: “Thank you so much! I appreciate it!”  “Thank you so much for the opportunity.”

We are deeply grateful to the Red Sox, MLB Commissioner’s Officer, and the Players Give Back program for making this experience possible. Opportunities like these bring people together, create lasting memories, and remind our immigrant neighbors that they are valued members of our community.  Thank you for helping make so many firsts possible!
