The elves were hard at work at Casserly House, helping stuff stockings for the children in our community.
On December 17th and 18th, Casserly House wrapped up 2025 with joyful winter holiday celebrations. As our ESOL classes came to a close for the year, adult learners and volunteers came together to enjoy arts and crafts, games, and plenty of holiday cheer.
Learners decorated pinecones with glitter to use as holiday decorations and created colorful beaded bracelets. We also played Bingo and shared small holiday gifts from Casserly House. Our volunteers led the craft activities and had a great time working alongside the learners.
On December 18th, we also celebrated December birthdays—including two volunteers and two adult learners—with music from everyone’s home countries, some dancing, and freshly baked cookies.
Following the celebrations, on December 22nd and 23rd, neighborhood families picked up children’s stockings and a family blanket. In addition, more than 15 families received a holiday meal or grocery store gift card.
It was a joyful way to mark the season, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back in 2026!
We wish everyone happy holidays and a wonderful New Year !
