On May 3rd, neighbors of all ages gathered for the “Love Your Block” Neighborhood Cleanup, an energizing and family-friendly event hosted by the Viet Nam Temple and Casserly House, in partnership with the City of Boston.

Participants enjoyed doughnuts and coffee donated by Dunkin’ as the event started at the Viet Nam Temple. Organized into teams, volunteers picked up trash on nearby streets, parks, and sidewalks. Gloves, bags, and other supplies were provided by the City of Boston. The kids were especially enthusiastic helpers as one of them vivaciously expressed “Casserly House is fun!”

Following the morning cleanup, all volunteers were invited to stay for lunch and fellowship, featuring scrumptious traditional Vietnamese food, fruit, juice, and plenty of joy, generously provided by the Temple. This event is a wonderful example of community partnership and shared purpose, reminding us that when we care for our neighborhood, we strengthen the bonds between us.
