Notebooks in backpacks and freshly sharp pencils,
School bells and bus horns and drawing with stencils,
Laughter and learning the new school year brings,
These are a few of our favorite things…
Thanks to the generosity of Backpacks for New Beginnings and the Spirit of Life worship community, Casserly House received 60 backpacks with school supplies to distribute this month. Half were distributed to children connected to Casserly House, and the other half were shared with our neighbors in Archdale Village Apartments.
These backpacks represent a weight off the shoulders of so many parents in our community, and so many kids are more excited for school to restart because of this generosity.
