On June 17th and 18th, ESOL learners and volunteers celebrated the end of our regular classes and beginning of summer. Conversation clubs will be facilitated each week in July and part of August, but volunteers are taking a well-deserved break for the summer.
Friends and family members feasted on a potluck of dishes made by learners, including many traditional foods from their countries of origin. After watching a slideshow of photos taken throughout the year, learners and volunteers played Summer Bingo and won prizes. The fun continued in the sun as people played Simon Says and Charades in the backyard.
