Mother Nature provided a beautiful day Saturday April 27th for Roslindale’s Love Your Block Neighborhood Clean Up. The city of Boston provided the tools, grippers, trash bags, rakes and gloves. The community of Chua Viet Nam (Vietnamese Buddhist Temple) and friends of Casserly House tackled the trash armed with these tools. Casserly House received generous donations of party tarts from local bakery Weesh, pizza from the Arboretum Pizza Grill, and donations of coffee and munchkins from Dunkin’ to share with other volunteers meeting at the temple. A delicious lunch of spring rolls, salads and other treats was provided by the Vietnamese Temple. As children walked home from volunteering, they noticed the difference a few dedicated hands can make!
