At Casserly House, the last hour of English language classes celebrated Thanksgiving and November birthdays. Homemade brownies were enjoyed, with birthday cards and song at the ready.  A Thanksgiving poem was introduced and recited; we learned some new vocabulary – the visuals helped the beginners – and synonyms for thankful.  Students wrote thank you notes to family and friends (and Casserly House!) and decorated them with stickers, leaves and glittering stars.  Some cards remain as garlands across the living room!
