Last week, Mimoza Gojashi, Branch Manager of TCB Bank in Roslindale, and her colleague Katia Noel, came by Casserly House to deliver a financial literacy presentation to our adult students. Mimoza, who shared her own story of coming to the U.S. from Albania 14 years ago, stated that she loved being back in such a diverse space. Now serving as the TCB branch manager in Roslindale, she offers an amazing example of what can be achieved by those who come to the United States looking for opportunity. Our adult students learned to advocate for themselves when opening up a bank account, how to converse with financial institutions, and knowing which questions best to ask. We are grateful for the time Mimoza and Katia spent in coming to Casserly and for creating such meaningful community partnerships.
